Roma Caffe Has Closed

After 27 wonderful years of business in Tucson, we have closed our doors for good. Thank you for your patronage over the years. Whether under the ownership of Rosa Holland (the original) or Gino Marinelli, the Caffe has been our family business and we will miss it dearly.

Gino Marinelli has been cooking as long as he can remember. As a child, cooking with his mother Carmela in the family kitchen in Italy came naturally. Fast forward to Tucson where “Famiglia” was celebrated every day at his wonderful Roma Caffé. Gino met his wife, Stephanie, there when she was a server in the early eighties and their daughter Giovanna loves to help in the kitchen. The flavors and ambiance are part of the beautiful mix of tradition and love that have made Roma Caffé a great neighborhood favorite for over 25 years.

Just this past year Gino and the Roma Caffé family suffered a great loss in the passing of Carmela Marinelli. She never missed a day of work even though Gino made her take it easy on most days. She will be missed by family, friends, and those she touched at Roma Caffé.

Unfortunately the economy, not only in Tucson, but everywhere, has been affecting local businesses and has hit Roma Caffé. It is so important to support your local stores and restaurants. The culture and life of Tucson can not thrive without it.

Thank you to all who have supported Roma Caffé over its many years. You helped make Roma Caffé what it was, a loving place to bring your family and friends to enjoy the best Italian food in Tucson!
